Belly Dance Every Day - Rib Circles Part 2
My teacher calls this “rock around the clock” and I can’t think of a better way to describe it.
Start by imagining that you are standing at the center of a clock. Slide your ribcage forward to 12 o’clock and then back to center. Slide your ribcage to 1o’clock and then back to center. Slide your ribcage to 2o’clock and then back to center. Slide your ribcage right to 3 o’clock and then back to center.Slide your ribcage to 4 o’clock and then back to center. Slide your ribcage to 5 o’clock and then back to center. Slide your ribcage back to 6 o’clock and then back to center. Slide your ribcage to 7 o’clock and then back to center. Slide your ribcage to 8 o’clock and then back to center. Slide your ribcage left to 9 o’clock and then back to center. Slide your ribcage to 10 o’clock and then back to center. Slide your ribcage to 11 o’clock and then back to center. Slide your ribcage front to 12 o’clock and then back to center. Repeat your clock a couple times and don’t forget to reverse it!
This is a great way to increase your range of movement.
